GRACE OVER GUILT

Updated: Jun 18, 2018

Grace. Something so simple yet we make it SO complicated. We feel that living a perfect life means that it’s worthy of grace, yet, when we stumble or fall, we aren't deserving of it.

And yes, we're NOT deserving but God's grace does NOT stop at our failures.

James 4:6 “But He gives MORE grace.”

His grace doesn’t change when you sin. His love for you doesn’t change when you turn away from Him. His desire never wanes when He looks at you. He wants you to come to Him as YOU ARE.

The greatest lie we could listen to is that God’s grace is NOT ENOUGH. But His blood shed wasn’t for the perfect. His nail pierced hands weren’t for the people who had it all together. He had YOU in mind when He hung on that cross.

Our guilt and shame push us away from truly accepting God's grace. Our guilt and shame make us believe we're not enough. And we're not. But Christ's blood was shed that we would be covered and cleansed. In that blood, we are covered in His grace. In that blood, we are washed white as snow.

Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.”

We no longer are bound by sin. We can stand freely knowing that Jesus Christ LOVES US and has COVERED our shame. He has set us free! Don’t be deceived by the enemy making you think that you’re not good enough, holy enough, “saved” enough. Know that you are God’s beloved and His grace is SUFFICIENT for you! Don’t allow your sin to push you away from God. RUN INTO HIS ARMS! Because He does not turn away from His children. His heart hurts along with you knowing that in your sin, you will NEVER find peace or satisfaction but WITH HIM you will find rest.

Hebrews 4:16 “Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

GRACE WINS MY FRIENDS! Don’t allow your guilt to push you further from God’s presence. Instead of guilt over grace, understand that God’s grace is greater than your guilt.
