LIGHT OF THE WORLD

If God is good then why are there so many bad things in this world?

It can seem like the powers of evil and darkness are winning over the power of good. Or worse, sometimes it seems like God doesn’t care.

The truth is;

darkness cannot overtake the light.

Light, on the other hand, overtakes the dark.

Darkness is the absence of light.

Jesus is the light of this world. We are also called to be the light. We are called to bring His Kingdom on earth.

To bring light to the darkness.

Goodness to evil. Love to hatred. Forgiveness to offense. Scripture tells us that it’s the kindness of Jesus that leads us to desire to walk away from evil and completely transform (repentance).

In today’s world, it is growing more difficult to know what is good and what is evil. More than ever, we need to remember Jesus and look to Holy Spirit to empower us to be the light. To truly align with His Kingdom and His order of what is good and what is evil.

This Christmas is like none other. An opportunity to celebrate the birth of Christ yes, but to mindfully decide to set our eyes on the LIGHT OF THE WORLD. So that we would continually be transformed into His image and bear light in these dark times.

It’s no coincidence that Christmas is usually around the darkest time of the year. This is your sign to take this opportunity to surrender your attention and time to Jesus.

When we fix our eyes on Him, out of us flows light.

This can tangibly look like the kind of love and peace that our friends and families can’t deny.

Our encouragement to you this year is to first sit with Jesus. Focus all your attention and heart towards Him. To see His beauty and allow His love to wash over you so that you are transformed and empowered to walk in love and be the light that Jesus has called you to be.
