The conference has ended. The day is over and, now as the days have passed and we reflect on the goodness of God and all that He did, the question remains, what is next?
This is the question I ask myself after every Worthy Conference. Months of planning and praying, the conference comes, and then in a blink of an eye the conference is done.
As we witnessed women standing up for one another, understanding who God is so we understand who He has created us to be, and worshipping God who alone is Worthy, our prayer is that you left that day with full confidence that the God who created the heavens and the earth knows you by name and you are HIS.
But what is next?
Galatians 5:1 says,
”Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.“
It emphasizes not going back to a yoke of bondage. Other versions say slavery, but it emphasizes not to go back. When God had called you to surrender the old identities, the sin that we hung on to, the lies we believed that day, He meant it. To fully surrender it all to Him.
Will it be easy? Absolutely not. Jesus says to take up our cross daily.
”Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me." Luke 9:23 NKJV
It is a daily surrender to the only One who can bring us victory. And that is Jesus.
Ladies, when you surrendered those papers on the altar, we left them there and we are not meant to take them back. As hard as it will be to want to take back what has been surrendered, we pray you continue to trust Him and abide in Him.
Abiding in Him in His presence.
Abiding in Him in His Holy Word.
Abiding in Him through prayer.
Abiding in Him every single day.
We pray you also are reminded of how much He loves you. And that He is always with you.
We cannot do this on our own strength, but we are not meant to do this on our own.
In Hebrews 10 says,
”Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near." Hebrews 10:23-25 ESV
Our prayers are not only that you know Jesus as Lord, and have a relationship with Him, but now you will be a part of His bride, His church. To not only be poured into, but also to go.
To go share the good news of Jesus Christ. To preach that it is because of Jesus you can have a new life!
But, we must repent (turn away) from the sin and old identities that we had claimed for ourselves. Not only do we need each other, but we desperately need HIM.
Jesus has given us the Helper, the Holy Spirit, to guide us to the Father. To grow in deeper intimacy with our Lord to change us from the inside out. Our battle is not only our flesh but of spirits and principalities.
And we must continue to press into JESUS.
For ourselves, for our sisters who attended the conference. For our churches, and for those who desperately need to know the truth and love of Jesus who sets the captives free.
I am always amazed and in awe, but I know there is still work to be done. That this isn’t a one time thing, but a constant surrendering of our own will to His.
As John the Baptist said,
“Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!“ John 1:29 ESV
He alone is worthy! And it is because of Jesus’s death and resurrection He found us worthy of the cost and we can approach the throne of God with full confidence that He is faithful, He is good, He is Holy, He is righteous, He is our Father, He is our Healer, He is our Lord.
So what is next? As Jesus told His disciples after He rose from the dead and would be back with His Father,
”Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”“ Matthew 28:19-20 NIV
Now go, sisters!
